Entry to this qualification is limited to those who: Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions) or; Have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise. All learners with English as a second language (ESL) must also demonstrate ONE of the following to meet minimum English Proficiency requirements: 1. IELTS 5.5 or other English scores accepted by Department of Home Affairs (DHA) such as TOEFL ‘PBT’ 527, TOEFL ‘iBT’ 46; PTE Academic 42; Cambridge English Advance 47; OET ‘Pass’, 2. Request to sit for Qii’s Internal English Test and achieve the required scores, 3. New Zealand Certificate in English Language (NZCEL) Level 3- Applied. Alternatively, learners can request to sit for Qii’s Internal Language, Literacy and Numeracy test and achieve the following results. This also applies to all domestic students:

Delivery Structure and Modes of Study |
The full-time delivery involves 20 scheduled course contact hours per week. To reach the 20 hours delivery requirement, each Unit of Study will have 2 days per week (14 hours) face-to-face classroom training and tutorial, and 6 hours of scheduled Course Related Information Session (CRIS). In some cases, students may apply to complete up to one third of their course via distance learning. All distance learning, or ‘self-study’ Units will be timetabled to be completed alongside another face-to-face Unit and will be supported by scheduled tutorials for additional assistance should it be required. |

Course Description

Individuals at this level use initiative and judgement to plan and implement a range of leadership and management functions, with accountability for personal and team outcomes within broad parameters.
They use cognitive and communication skills to identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources and transfer their knowledge to others, and creative or conceptual skills to express ideas and perspectives or respond to complex problems.
