Entry Requirements |
Although there are no entry requirements outlined on training.gov.au, learners are required to meet the following minimum requirements:
All learners with English as a second language (ESL) must also demonstrate ONE of the following to meet minimum English Proficiency requirements:
1. IELTS 4.5 or other English scores accepted by Department of Home Affairs (DHA) such as TOEFL ‘PBT’ 450, TOEFL ‘iBT’ 32; PTE Academic 30; Cambridge English Advance 36; OET ‘Pass’,
2. Request to sit for Qii’s Internal English Test and achieve the required scores,
3. New Zealand Certificate in English Language (NZCEL) Level 2.
Alternatively, learners can request to sit for Qii/T’s Internal Language, Literacy and Numeracy test and achieve the following results. This also applies to all domestic students:
- 3 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Learning
- 2 in Numeracy.
*Any students who do not immediately meet the exact entry requirements by up to 1.0 of mark in any individual area of the test may be given additional exercises and LLN assessment material to build their skill knowledge to fill the entry requirements gap before commencing the course. |

Delivery Structure and Mode of Study |
The full-time delivery involves 20 scheduled course contact hours per week.
To reach the 20 hours delivery requirement, each Unit of Study will have 2 days per week (14 hours) face-to-face classroom training and tutorial, and 6 hours of scheduled Course Related Information Session (CRIS). Classes are scheduled with timetable provided to students during orientation.
In some cases, students may apply to complete up to one third of their course via distance learning. All distance learning, or ‘self-study’ Units will be timetabled to be completed alongside another face-to-face Unit and will be supported by scheduled tutorials for additional assistance should it be required.

Course Description
This qualification reflects the roles of individuals in supervising the work of others across a range of industries. Learners will acquire skills and knowledge in the following: leadership, develop good business networks and relationships, work according to a pre-determined plan, and continuously promote improvement and effective teamwork.
At this level, frontline managers provide leadership and guidance to others and take responsibility for the effective functioning and performance of the team and its work outcomes.
